The VAFA congratulates Isabella Allan from Collegians Football Club who has been nominated as the Round 1 Anytime Fitness Rising Star. Bella was nominated after scoring 4 goals in a dominant performance in her debut match of senior footy!
What the club said:
Like many junior footballers who aspire to find pathways to progress their football, Bella joined Collegians Women’s program for training two seasons ago as a 17 year old junior while she was still playing football with Beaumaris Junior Football Club. She is the daughter of Collegians past player Brett.
Bella’s natural penchant for goal kicking was immediately apparent, as she spent last year in the reserves team plying her craft up forward, playing 12 games for the season, and finishing with 8 goals which was a strong effort in a competitive division.
From Head Coach Dom Lucarelli: “Despite an interrupted pre-season, Bella’s has really hit the ground running in our Division 4 team this year. She is as accurate with her set shots as she is crafty with her goals in live play, and she loves a snap. Her four goal haul in Round 1 is her biggest bag yet in over-age football, and we expect to see many from her as she continues to develop and hit her stride in divisional football as we progress further into the season.”
