
2025 Premier B Women’s Fixture
The Premier B Women’s fixture has been released for the 2025 season. New club Port Melbourne Chargers will host Old Melburnians in their historic first home game at JL Murphy
The VAFA congratulates Isaac Ellwood from Old Carey FC, who has received the Anytime Fitness Rising Star nomination for Round 6. Isaac started his season off in the Under 19’s side for Old Carey before breaking into the senior squad on the back of some star performances and has managed to not only hit the scoreboard on a number of occasions, but has also earned multiple best on ground acknowledgements.
What the club said:
Isaac is a Carey boy and one of our Under 19’s premiership players from last year – our big Europe exodus in July last year provided opportunities for players like Isaac to get a sample of senior footy, giving him and others confidence as top age unders to play with flair and poise.
Issy was instrumental in his sides’ 2023 finals series (Club Finals MVP). He followed this up with a scintillating first three games in 2024, where you could plainly see he was a cut above the rest.
Since breaking into our Senior side in Round 3 he’s owned a wing. This season, he’s bigger and more prepared to embrace contact and make tackles.
Isaac doesn’t have heaps to say off-field and lets his performance do the talking for him. He moves smoothly, creates space and time and finds targets.
