VAFA Live Coverage – August 24

VAFA Media’s live coverage this Saturday features a St Kevin’s double, with both Women’s & Men’s teams facing critical match-ups.

This week’s SEN VAFA Match of the Day sees St Kevin’s visit University Blacks in an important game at Melbourne University Oval.

SKOB’s 8-goal loss to Old Scotch before the bye has closed the gap between the teams to just half a game, with 3 to play in the race for the double chance. So, St Kevin’s needs to bank these four points to ensure they keep their noses ahead of the Cardinals for at least another week.

But Uni Blacks will have other ideas after stringing together back-to-back wins for the first time since Round 4. Their magnificent upset victory away to Old Xavs lifted them a game and a half out of the relegation zone, and a third straight win here would almost ensure their safety and another season of Premier Men’s in 2025.

Two teams with plenty to play for! Could it be a ‘banana peel’ game for SKOB?

Tune into our LIVE coverage from 1:45pm through the SENApp, SEN.com.au and VAFA.com.au, hosted by VAFA Media’s Paddy Grindlay, featuring interviews with the coaches & players and exclusive access into the quarter-break huddles.

The SEN App is available for iPhone and Android, and works with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

This weeks KommunityTV live-stream double-header features the Premier Women’s blockbuster of the season as Old Scotch host St Kevin’s at Camberwell Sportsground.

St Kevin’s have been the benchmark of the competition, winning the past 3 premierships and sit undefeated on top of the table in 2024.

But Old Scotch are right on their heels, having lost just one match – to St Kevin’s in Round 4 after they led at three-quarter time.

These two teams have kicked clear of the field and will meet again in the first week of the finals.

Who will grab the psychological advantage?

It promises to be a fantastic game between two teams packed full of high-quality talent.

Catch the action LIVE and EXCLUSIVE on KommunityTV, with Reserves coverage from 11.35am, followed by the Seniors game from 2pm.

A News Corp subscription is required to watch the live stream on KommunityTV – sign up from just $5 per week.
