2026 William Buck Premier Men’s Fixture released
The 2026 William Buck Premier Men’s fixture has been unveiled, with Old Brighton to unfurl its first senior men’s flag in the opening round against St Bernard’s on Saturday April
The VAFA congratulates Noah Higgins from Old Haileybury who has received the Anytime Fitness Rising Star nomination for Round 17. Noah was instrumental in his side’s win over Old Camberwell on the weekend and will be important for his dynamic speed come finals.
What the club said:
Noah finished at our Haileybury City Campus in 2021, becoming the first City attendee to play for Old Haileybury. In 2022, he played four games with the Under 19s while also competing with the Western Jets in the Coates Talent League.
In 2023, he progressed to the Reserves, playing nine games before his season was cut short by a foot injury. Fast forward to 2024, and from the start of Pre-Season, Noah applied himself to Senior Footy. He impressed in our practice matches and hasn’t looked back since, playing 17 of 18 games this year. His season culminated in a Best on Ground performance last weekend against Old Camberwell.
Noah primarily plays as a winger, known for his incredible aerobic capacity to cover the ground. Despite weighing around 70 kg, he is widely regarded as the best tackler on the team due to his attitude toward physical contact and his commitment to doing the little things to help his team.
He still lives in Williamstown and demonstrates massive commitment by braving traffic to attend training without fail. With his bright future ahead, Noah is only beginning to show what he can do at this level. He is loved by all his teammates, coaches, and supporters of our club.
Congrats, Higgo! This is well-deserved recognition.
