VAFA wishes to advise its members that legal proceedings have been brought against VAFA by former Director, Mr Alistair Ewart in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
Mr Ewart alleges that during his period as a VAFA Director he was unlawfully discriminated against by VAFA and its board in breach of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic), based on his visual impairment.
The Secretary and some members of the current board are named as Respondents in his claim, as well as some former Directors of VAFA.
VAFA completely rejects all allegations made against it and is currently preparing a full defence.
