VAFA Grand Final Game Day Guide

Find out everything you need to know about the 2024 VAFA William Buck Premier Men’s Grand Final this Friday at Elsternwick Park.

A big crowd is expected to descend on VAFA HQ on the AFL Grand Final Eve Public Holiday. We’ve got you covered for all the event details and how to get to Elsternwick Park.

Tickets & Entry

Avoid the queues and pre-purchased your Grand Final tickets through INTIX. Tickets are also available at the gate – payment by card only.
Adults – $22
Concession – $17
Children (under 12) – Free

THREE gates will be in operation at Elsternwick Park on Friday:

Gate 1 – Glen Huntly Road
Gate 2 – Saint Kilda Street
Gate 3 – Yalukit Willam Nature Reserve (no wheelchair access)

Getting to Elsternwick Park

CAR

Limited parking is available inside Elsternwick Park for $5 – enter through Gate 1. Parking is also available at the adjacent Bowls Club for $5 – enter via Glen Huntly Road. Free parking is available in the car park located off St Kilda Street (Gate 2), and nearby streets (parking restrictions may apply). Additional parking is available in New Street and Bent Ave (enter Gate 3 via the Nature Reserve). Limited Accessible Parking is available inside Elsternwick Park.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

TRAIN
The nearest train station is Elsternwick Station (Sandringham Line), located a 9 minute walk along Glen Huntly Rd, across the Nepean Hwy.

TRAM
Tram 67 (Melbourne University – Carnegie) stops at Brighton Rd/Glenhuntly Rd #43 and Hotham St/Brighton Rd #42 – both located a 5 minute walk from the ground.

BUS
Bus 246 (Elsternwick – Clifton Hill via St Kilda) stops at the corner of St Kilda St/Glen Huntly Rd – next to the main entrance to Elsternwick Park.

At the Ground

There will be additional food and beverage options, spectator facilities and activations at Elsternwick Park for the Friday’s Grand Final, including:

  • Official Match Day Function inside the Elsternwick Park Function Room 12-2pm (Sold-Out)
  • Bar open to the public from 2pm in Elsternwick Park Function Room
  • Canteen located in Pavilion
  • Coffee Vans location in front of UA Grandstand and around the ground
  • BBQ’s located either side of Pavilion
  • Food Trucks located around the ground
  • Heaps Normal activation in front of UA Grandstand
  • AFL Victoria activities in front of UA Grandstand
  • Face Painting in front of UA Grandstand
  • Red Bull activation near Scoreboard
  • Toilets located in Pavilion and around the ground
  • First Aid located in Pavilion
