The VAFA is delighted to announce a two-year extension to its broadcast partnership with SEN for seasons 2025 & 2026.
The extension follows a successful first season of VAFA SEN Match of the Day broadcasts on the SEN app, VAFA.com.au and SEN.com.au throughout 2024.
“We were excited to partner with SEN this season and the partnership delivered the VAFA all that we hoped it would,” said VAFA Chief Executive Officer, Jason Reddick.
“Our VAFA Media broadcast team and SEN’s tech team combined to deliver a high-quality broadcast experience that set the standard for community sport in 2024.
“There’s a great brand alignment between the VAFA and SEN, with a large crossover between our amateur football community and SEN’s listening audience, so we’re really pleased to continue building upon this foundation for the next two seasons.”
“SEN was a supportive partner throughout 2024, helping us to expand our footprint and always willing to rise to new technical challenges as we continue to stretch the boundaries of what we can deliver in our coverage,” said VAFA Broadcast & Content Manager, Jason Bennett.
“We have a clear vision for what we see our VAFA Media coverage becoming in future years and it’s ideal to have a partner that shares that vision and is committed to helping us get there. As we continue to learn more about each other’s businesses, we will add further dimensions to our partnership.
“The introduction of SEN Stadium technology is a perfect example. We’re rapt that the VAFA is just the second football league in the entire country (after the AFL) to have access to SEN’s real-time commentary tech, which services our fans live at the game.
“For VAFA patrons to be able to pop their earbuds in and enjoy our coverage in real-time while they’re watching the game is an incredible level of service for community sport.”
SEN’s Director of Sport, Julian Bayard, said the organisation was thrilled to continue their partnership with the VAFA.
“It was such a great partnership between SEN and the VAFA in 2024 and we were able to broadcast some brilliant football from the VAFA to the SEN audience.
“We’re really looking forward to that partnership continuing over the next two seasons. The introduction of SEN Stadium will give VAFA fans an amazing experience at games, being able to listen to the radio call with no delay through the SEN App.”
The VAFA William Buck SEN Match of the Day will return for Round 1 of the 2025 season on Saturday April 5 and will be available on the SEN app, VAFA.com.au and SEN.com.au.
