The Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) is thrilled to announce a four-year extension of its major partnership with Holmesglen Institute.
The Holmesglen logo will continue to feature prominently on all club playing uniforms across the VAFA competition and the popular Under 19 Premier Men’s competition will continue as the Holmesglen U19 Premier Men’s, with Holmesglen branded Sherrin footballs to be used in all Under 19 VAFA men’s games.
The partnership also provides Holmesglen students with hands-on industry experience via placement opportunities at VAFA HQ and throughout the vast VAFA club network.
In recent seasons, Holmesglen students have received broadcast internships to obtain invaluable on-air experience commentating on VAFA radio and live-stream match coverage with broadcast partners such as SEN and NewsCorp.
“We’re thrilled to announce that our long-term major partner and renowned higher education provider, Holmesglen Institute, has extended their commercial partnership with the VAFA for a further 4 years,” said VAFA Chief Executive Officer, Jason Reddick.
“Our two institutions share many values that make this long-standing partnership a great symbol of community involvement between sport and education, and we look forward to continuing to grow our collaboration in the years ahead.”
“Holmesglen Institute is pleased to renew its partnership with the VAFA,” said Sam Duncan, Holmesglen’s Dean, Faculty of Higher Education and Applied Research.
“The announcement also marks more than 10 years of our partnership, during which time we have forged a mutually beneficial relationship that helps communities and local sporting clubs provide opportunities for our learners across multiple disciplines.
“We look forward to working with the VAFA to further enhance the experiences for our communities and our learners.”
