On Saturday, the VAFA community came together at the Holmesglen Conference Centre in Chadstone for the 2025 VAFA Club Conference. The event provided an excellent platform for VAFA clubs to connect, network, and gain valuable insights early in the year. Attendees were treated to a series of engaging presentations covering critical topics such as concussion and injury management, vilification, umpiring, VAFA support services, the Tackle Your Feelings program, AFL Victoria programs & initiatives, grants, and fundraising opportunities.
With many new volunteers stepping into leadership roles at VAFA clubs in 2025, the conference was an ideal opportunity to showcase the support and resources available through the Association. It also allowed for meaningful connections to be made, both with fresh faces and long-standing members of the VAFA community.
The event also served as a hub for collaboration between VAFA clubs and the Association’s key commercial partners. Partners had the chance to engage with clubs directly through the commercial Trade Fair, fostering relationships and exploring opportunities for mutual growth.
The VAFA extends its gratitude to all clubs, community members, football partners, and commercial sponsors who contributed to the success of the day. A very special thanks to Holmesglen for hosting the event and building on the long-term partnership.
For those seeking further information, session recordings, presentation slides, and contact details will be available on the VAFA Club Support page in the coming days. Clubs with questions about Community & Club Support or Football & Umpiring presentations can reach out to Pranav Menon, Darren Flanigan, or Dale Christie. For inquiries about commercial partner products and services, Glen Towers and Susan Miller are available to assist.
The 2025 VAFA Conference was a resounding success, setting the stage for a year of collaboration, growth, and community engagement.
