Round 8 of the William Buck Premier Women’s competition lived up to the hype with several fantastic clashes and a huge boil over between Williamstown CYMS and St Kevin’s headlining
The Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) is delighted to announce a two-year extension to its partnership with OrthoSport Victoria Institute (OSVi).
This unique relationship stretches beyond a typical sponsorship, with OSVi creating a Sports Injury Emergency Clinic at 132 Bridge Rd, Richmond, available to VAFA players on Saturdays and Sundays from 12-7pm.
Any registered VAFA player requiring medical treatment for cuts and bruises right through to more serious injuries such as joint and muscular issues, broken bones and concussion, can present at the clinic and be triaged to see a sports medicine professional within a matter of minutes, rather than hours spent waiting in the Emergency department at a hospital.
90% of the consultation fee will be covered by VAFA’s industry-leading player insurance, providing an incredible level of service to players right across the competition.
“The VAFA is really pleased to be extending our partnership with OSVi. They stands out by providing our VAFA players with a comprehensive array of best practice medical and health services all in one central location,” said VAFA Chief Executive Officer, Jason Reddick.
“The availability of the OSVi sports injury emergency clinic on weekends ensures that VAFA players can access essential medical specialists. This prioritisation of treatment and recovery significantly aids in minimising their time away from the game.”
“We’re excited to extend our partnership with VAFA for another two years, reinforcing our commitment to elite sports injury care, rehabilitation, and performance support for the VAFA community,” said OSVi Chief Executive Officer, Lawrence Furlan.
“The introduction of our Sports Injury Emergency Clinic will be a game-changer, giving VAFA athletes instant access to emergency care like never before. We look forward to continuing this partnership and making an even greater impact on the VAFA community.”
