The Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) is excited to announce a new multi-year partnership with Guzman y Gomez (GYG), the highly popular Australian-based Mexican restaurant chain.
This partnership demonstrates both organisations’ commitment to fostering community engagement and healthy lifestyles, and will see GYG serve as the official “Quick Service Restaurant” of the VAFA, supporting players, coaches, and fans at VAFA events and key VAFA matches.
Through the partnership, both parties aim to promote health and wellness and further connect the local VAFA community with GYG locations.
As part of the agreement, GYG will also support VAFA clubs with weekly Best on Ground Vouchers, receive key apparel exposure on the VAFA Big V uniforms and offer promotions and special offers to the VAFA community, further reinforcing their commitment to community sport.
Jason Reddick, CEO of the VAFA, expressed his delight with the partnership, saying, “We are thrilled to welcome GYG as a key commercial partner of the VAFA. Their focus on health-conscious and delicious food aligns perfectly with our goal of promoting well-being among our players and the broader VAFA community.
“We know VAFA players right across Melbourne are going to be thrilled with us partnering with Australia’s fastest-growing quick-service restaurant.”
A spokesperson for Guzman y Gomez shared, “GYG’s partnership with VAFA reinforces GYG’s commitment to sport at all levels in Australia, and we can’t wait to see what this season holds!
“We all know that Australian rules football is a highly competitive sport with committed and loyal fans who demonstrate what high performance looks like every time they step out onto the field.
“We are incredibly proud to be supporting this generation of Australian rules footballers with Clean Fast Food, proving that we are truly fast food athletes to say yes to!”
