The Real Stakes is a community footy program, created by the footy community, to raise awareness of the real harm caused by online sports gambling.
It’s a collaboration between the VAFA, Adelaide Footy League and Perth Football League that provides clubs with practical tools and support to spot gambling harm, prevent it, and help yourself or mates who might be struggling.
Gambling participation has more than doubled since 2010, with millions spent on marketing aimed at normalising gambling as a part of sport.
The Real Stakes aims to raise awareness of the issues and challenges around online sports gambling to drive change and build healthier, stronger clubs for our communities.
