The Toyota Good for Footy Raffle continues to be an outstanding fundraising opportunity for local football clubs across Australia. This entirely not-for-profit initiative allows clubs to raise money directly for their own use, with 100% of the funds raised feeding back to the club, supporting vital projects such as facility upgrades, scoreboard installations, and community development initiatives.
The 2025 campaign is off to a flying start, with two VAFA clubs currently ranking in the national top 10. A huge congratulations to Mazenod Football Club, who have raised an incredible $10,645 to date, placing them first in the country so far this year. VAFA commends the club’s ongoing dedication and commitment to the program. In 2024, Mazenod also finished an impressive third nationally, raising $21,760; a testament to their consistent efforts and strong community backing.
Also deserving recognition is North Brunswick AFC, who have raised $2,320 and are currently sitting seventh on the national leaderboard. Congratulations to all involved for their fantastic work!
This year, 50 out of 66 VAFA clubs are already registered and actively participating in the raffle. From our experience in 2024, clubs that tie the raffle to a clear project or fundraising goal tend to see the greatest success. Whether it’s improving changerooms, purchasing equipment, footies, or investing in junior development, setting a purpose helps build momentum and community support.
VAFA strongly encourages all member clubs to make the most of this fantastic opportunity to raise funds and invest in their future.
