Here’s a look at some of the Round 9 social media highlights across VAFA grounds in our weekend wrap.
There were a couple of goal of the year contenders in William Buck Premier Men’s, starting with Christian Algeri for De La Salle in their clash with Old Xaverians.
And George Delimitrou’s goal from the boundary in St Kevin’s win over Old Scotch at TH King Oval.
We saw the first draw of the 2025 season at the Snakepit between St Bernards and University Blues, and what a finish it was, with two huge moments at the death.
University Blacks are in red hot form and on Saturday they inflicted Old Brighton’s first loss of the season.
The Round 9 GYG Highlight of the Week came from the local derby at Brindisi Street between St Bedes Mentone and Beaumaris, with a brilliant goal from the boundary by Josh Trew.
A shoutout to Lawrence Virgo, who played game 300 for Wattle Park on the weekend.
