At the VAFA, we’re proud to recognize the incredible efforts of coaches who give their all to support their clubs and live out the values of our community. Every month, we hear powerful stories of leadership, dedication and impact, and June brought forward some truly inspiring nominations.
Congratulations to Tom Hill from Preston Bullants AFC who has been named the Carruthers Executive Community Coach of the Month!
Tom was nominated by Philip Smith (Club Volunteer) for his outstanding dedication and his strong embodiment of the VAFA’s core values of Integrity. Tom has been at the club for over five years and has been in the coaching role for over three years where he is creating a positive impact within the club.
Below is the nomination submitted by Philip Smith:
“Tom is not only an outstanding Human Being but also one of the best coaches going around, The respect, Integrity, commitment that he has for the Preston Bullants AFC is second to none. Tom is at the coal face of the club which currently has 3 senior men’s teams, 1 women’s team and 1 under 19 team and Tom is open to all of these teams not only for advice but is happy to share his wisdom with anyone which makes him a coach of value as you know you can approach him with anything and it doesn’t matter if you are a seasoned played or a 1st time player Tom gives above and beyond what is necessary and would be the perfect person to be the VAFA Coach of the month.”
We sincerely commend Tom for his enduring commitment to his club and to the broader VAFA community.
