VAFA Clubs have once again demonstrated well-built engagements with major funding and revenue generating programs in 2025, resulting in more than $218,000 circulating back into the community.
Engaging with three major initiatives, the TAC Club Rewards Program, Telstra Country Footy Grant and Good for Footy Raffle, a combined 122 clubs received funding and importantly, financial support to strengthen each club’s operations both on and off the field.
Through the TAC Club Rewards Program, 39 clubs earned a combined $75,250 by promoting the awareness of road safety and be a part of community activations. This program highlights the commitment of VAFA clubs to improve safe driving behaviours across the football community.
This year, 27 VAFA Clubs applied for the Telstra Country Footy Grant, which helped generate $54,593.10 in funding. This program continues to play a crucial role in helping clubs not only upgrade operations, but also improve safety equipment, club infrastructure, and reduce overall volunteer workload. Many clubs used the funding provided to create meaningful projects that further enhance the quality and the delivery of events, enhancing the experience for players, volunteers, supporters, and communities that each club represents.
The Good for Footy Raffle once again stood out as a fundraising stream, with 56 clubs collectively raising $88,755. With Mazenod OCFC and Fitzroy FC leading the way, raising $37,210 and $10,375. In this initiative, 100% of ticket sales goes directly back to participating clubs and the raffle continues to be one of the most effective and accessible fundraising tools available for VAFA Clubs.

In total, VAFA clubs generated a staggering $218,598 in funding across these three imperative initiatives, a significant boost for club sustainability, development, and community impact.
