The 2026 Premier B Men’s fixture has been released, and, as in 2025, this section is shaping up to be one of the tightest and most exciting in the entire VAFA competition, featuring ten formidable teams.
The two teams that have dropped down to Premier B from the top flight will clash first up, as Collegians host De La Salle at Harry Trott Oval, in what shapes as a fascinating opening round.
Last season’s Premier C champions Beaumaris return to Premier B after just one season, and will open their campaign at VAFA HQ as they visit Old Melburnians at Elsternwick Park in Round 1.
The team the Sharks defeated on Grand Final Day last year – AJAX – will jump straight into the deep end on their return to Premier B, as they head to Chelsworth Park to face one of the early premiership fancies, Old Ivanhoe, who will be hellbent on atoning for last year’s September disappointment.
The other four teams, who were all squarely in the finals mix last season, complete the Round 1 match-ups as Old Camberwell host Old Geelong, and Willy CYMS host Old Carey.
With Banksia Reserve undergoing renovations, Beaumaris will call Trevor Barker Beach Oval home throughout 2026, and that will be the scene for Round 8’s 2025 Premier C Grand Final rematch as the Jackas look to get one back over Beauy.
The season will feature two byes – the King’s Birthday on June 6, followed by a bye to accommodate the Big V’s Premier B – Division 3 clash against the Goulburn Valley League at Elsternwick Park on July 11.
Thanks to My Sport Live, VAFA Media’s Premier B Showcase Round will return in 2026, with all five Premier B Men’s senior matches of Round 15 to be simultaneously streamed live and free on VAFA TV on Saturday, August 8 – and what an incredible line-up of season-defining games they promise to be, with the race for September in full swing!
The final round of the home & away season will take place on Saturday August 29 and will be directly followed by a three week Finals Series kicking off on the weekend of September 5-6.
