The VAFA Recognition Awards are proudly returning in 2026, continuing to celebrate the people who make community football thrive. The program acknowledges the incredible dedication and impact of grassroots contributors by recognising one Carruthers Executive Community Coach of the Month and one The Pass Volunteer of the Month from May to August.
These monthly awards shine a spotlight on individuals who go above and beyond for their clubs, demonstrating leadership, commitment and the VAFA values of community, respect and inclusiveness.
From coaches who create positive, welcoming environments for players, to volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes, the Recognition Awards provide an opportunity to publicly thank those who help keep clubs strong and connected.
Nominations are now open to all VAFA clubs and members of the football community, with winners announced during the season and featured across VAFA channels. If you know a coach or volunteer who deserves to be acknowledged for their efforts, nominate them below before 31 May 2026.
