ALBERT PARK WOMEN MARK 100TH GAME MILESTONE
From humble beginnings back in 2019, the Falcon Women will celebrate their 100th club game this Saturday when they run out against Wattle Park in Division 4 Women’s. Highlights of these 100 games include multiple finals appearances, headlined by a narrow defeat to the Hampton Rovers in the 2022 Division 2 Grand Final.
The Falcons have also had strong representation in the VAFA Team of the Year, headlined by Johannah Griffin, a pioneer of the Falcons Women’s team and four-time (back-to-back) league best and fairest winner (along with a second place, she had an off year in 2019). Of the 135 women’s players who have represented the club, 98 were completely new to Aussie rules, a great show of the community spirit the club have created for beginner players.
WEST BRUNSWICK CELEBRATE PRIDE
West Brunswick will celebrate Pride this weekend with their 2026 Pride Cup at McAlister Oval, Ransford Oval and Ryder Pavilion.
Pride Cup is one of the most important events on their club calendar and represents an ongoing commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for LGBTQIA+ players, supporters, volunteers, and the wider community. The day will include entertainment, community activities, face painting, merchandise, and more.
PLAYER MILESTONES IN ROUND 5
Congratulations to the following VAFA players who will reach special milestones this week in Round 5.

In addition, Williamstown CYMS senior men’s coach Con Terzoglou has reached 200 games as coach of the CY’s — a new milestone for the club, and Old Xaverians are celebrating life memberships for Paul Connors, Des Kennedy and Matt Cosgrave.
Prahan’s Riley Hogan also reached 100 senior games over the weekend after joining the club in 2017.
