VAFA MILESTONES IN WEEK 9
MCC Women’s player Alex Mori reaches 50 games this weekend. Alex reached the milestone of 100 career goals for the club just a few weeks ago, and was leading goal kicker for both the club and in her division in 2019, 2021, and 2022, a year she was also a premiership player and best and fairest — all achieved in under 50 games. Alice is also coach to her son’s under 9’s team, and had plenty of family and community support to celebrate her special milestones.

North Brunswick player Omkar Chitale reaches also 50 games. Originally named captain of the reserves, Omkar has had such a great season he now plays in the seniors!
At Mazenod, Kurt Tellis, Mitch Boyce and Emily Patmore both reached 50 games, while Ethan Sherlock notches 100 this weekend. Ethan has been part of the club since birth, moving through the U19s to Reserves and Seniors, and is now a regular backline player.
For Kew, Ellie Brown reaches 50 games and Krystal Shaw hits her 100-game milestone. Krystal has been with the club since 2016, is a two-time premiership player, four-time Kew leading goal kicker, and is the seventh women’s player to reach 100 games for Kew — a fantastic achievement.
At Old Trinity, senior captain Christos Manoussakis ran out for his 200th game in the green and gold last weekend. Christos has been a pillar of the club for many years and always leads by example through his dedication and commitment to the Old Trinity community.
