The VAFA Seeks: Commercial & Digital Marketing Coordinator

The VAFA, Australia’s oldest and largest senior football competition, has an appealing position available as a Commercial & Digital Marketing Coordinator and is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to fill this stimulating and varied role.

The successful candidate will have highly developed communications skills, proficient knowledge across Commercial, Marketing, Events, Digital and Media, a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail.

This is a full-time position.

Reporting  to the Executive General Manager (EGM) Commercial, the role will be working closely with VAFA staff and our external commercial, broadcast, event and media partners.

Role Summary

· Assist the Executive General Manager Commercial (EGMC) to deliver Commercial, Marketing, Events, Digital and Media outcomes.

· Coordination of VAFA events.

· Manage and execute VAFA marketing.

· Carry out cross-over requirements between Commercial & Media in relation to activation of Commercial Partner benefits.

Skills and experience required

· Tertiary qualification in Media, Marketing or relevant field or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. 

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effectively interacting with commercial partners, volunteers, technical resources and other stakeholders.

· Experience with CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress or similar).

· Working of knowledge of Google analytics and digital reporting tools.

· Demonstrated experience or an understanding of developing marketing materials, proposals and collateral.

· Ability to think creatively to solve problems.

· Organisational skills to plan and deliver projects in a timely fashion.

·  Excellent technical writing competency and experience.

·  Excellent eye for detail.

· Valid Working with Children and Police Check.

· Proficient working knowledge and experience with Canva or other graphic design packages would be ideal. 

· An understanding of the VAFA competition.

· Have a strong appetite and willingness to learn and develop in the role. 

· Be a team player.
