ELSTERNWICK CELEBRATES PRIDE ROUND WITH A CONVERSATION ABOUT INCLUSION IN SPORT
Elsternwick Amateur Football Club recently celebrated Pride Round with a visit from former AFL player Mitch Brown, whose reflections on coming out and belonging highlighted the ongoing challenges facing LGBTQIA+ people in sport.
Players heard Brown speak about authenticity, belonging, and the role community clubs can play in shaping sporting culture through everyday behaviour, language and leadership. Read more here.

Old Scotch’s Harry Dixon will captain the Big V Under 19 Men’s side after polling best player votes in seven of his 11 William Buck Premier Men’s appearances this season!
VAFA MILESTONES IN WEEK 11
PEGS legend Daniel Flaherty ran out for his 350th game for the club over the weekend. Flaherty has still got it at age 44, still playing in Premier C Men’s, what a milestone!
50 games up last weekend for UHS-VU star Renee Cahill! Producing a best on ground performance in her milestone match and is one of the competition’s most consistent players.
St Bernard’s Senior Captain and Big V regular Mitch Hughes played his 200th game over the weekend. Teammates Fergus McNicol and Luke Di Lizio also celebrated their 200th and 150th games in a big milestone round for the club!
Kew Football Club also had a major milestone with Adam Lawrence notching up 100 games and was named in the best for his efforts!
