Round 11 VAFA Women’s Rising Star: Keira Gibbs

The VAFA congratulates Keira Gibbs from Caulfield Grammarians, who has been nominated as the Round 11 VAFA Women’s Rising Star.

Keira was superb in her fifth senior game, collecting 17 disposals & 11 tackles in Caulfield’s victory over Kew.

What the club said:

It’s Keira’s first season at CGFC. She made her way to the club after finishing up her junior footy in Bairnsdale last year where she played with the Gippsland Power. Keira moved to Melbourne this year on her own to take up an opportunity with Box Hill VFLW and joined CGFC as her local club. Keira is a really mature young women who is eager to learn and improve in every facet. Keira has quickly earned the respect of her teammates at the club, and is known for her sweet and bubbly personality.

She is always willing and able to step into any role whether it be in the backline, outside or inside mid. Her aggression, clean hands, speed and booming kick provides us a lot both in attack and defence. She is an absolute pleasure to coach!
