KEW CELEBRATE 150 YEARS WITH GALA BALL
Kew Football Club recently celebrated 150 years, sharing stories, honouring those who built the club and recognised the generations of people whose dedication has shaped their community into what it is today.
VAFA Hall of Fame Legend John Fisher was a huge part of the discussion panel. The former premiership captain, coach, VAFA representative player and coach and Hawthorn player was able to share stories from the club’s remarkable history.
Iconic Kew FC players and community members spoke and were a big part of the milestone night and you can see photos or read more here.

VAFA BIG V PLAYERS STUFF THE STAT SHEET
Collegians Hugh Johnson and Old Geelong’s Matt Harvey led the way in a strong Big V Premier B-Division 3 win over GVL!
The Big V Under 19’s had four players with 30 or more disposals and six players clearing 115 ranking points, in a dominant performance against GVL!
MAAHI PATEL REPRESENTS BIG V
17-year-old Maahi Patel played for the Big V U19 team on the weekend, showcasing a proud moment for the Indian-Australian community and the rising impact of multicultural athletes.
VAFA MILESTONES IN WEEK 12
Ormond AFC’s Sam Mason will hit the 150-game milestone this weekend! Mase has done it all since joining Ormond in the U9s. He won a senior premiership in 2018 and was the senior best and fairest winner for 2017. He played in the 2013 and 2015 senior grand finals, has three senior best and fairest runners up medals and won the reserves premiership in 2025.

Old Yarra Cobra Women’s recently celebrated a round full of three huge milestones! With 2019 premiership players, Rachel Powell and Belinda Wriedt reaching 100 games, while 2025 Premier B Team of the Year forward Alannah Murray celebrated her 50th.
Old Ivanhoe Grammarians celebrate the ‘hyphens’ milestones this weekend! Reserves premiership player and current reserves captain Jake Erman-Keogh reaches 200 games, while 2023 senior premiership winning co-captain Nick Reeves-Smyth notches up 150.
