Round 13 VAFA Men’s Rising Star: Josh Kol

The VAFA congratulates Josh Kol from Marcellin, who has been nominated as the Round 13 VAFA Men’s Rising Star.

He was instrumental in Marcellin’s Premier C Men’s clash against PEGS, producing a dominant performance with 38 disposals, including 26 contested possessions, 17 clearances and eight tackles to help secure the win.

Josh becomes an extremely rare TWO-TIME NOMINEE (after he was nominated in Week 19 last season) 👏

What the club said:

Koli has been outstanding through the middle in his second season at the Eagles, averaging 29 disposals and 7 clearances a game and kicking 11 goals from 9 Senior appearances all while juggling commitments with St Kilda’s VFL program. He also pulled on the Big V jumper for the Under 19s this month and racked up 30+ possessions.

What doesn’t show up in the numbers is the way he goes about it. Maturity, work rate and leadership, on and off the field, from a bloke who was still a schoolboy when he debuted for us 12 months ago.

Josh has also built incredible connections and friendship with the playing group and people at the wider club!
