Old Haileybury have won their way through to the Grand Final with a 32-point win over Hawthorn on Sunday.
After the Hawks got off to a fast start in the first quarter, leading by eight points at the break, it was the Hearts who swung the momentum back holding the home side scoreless in the second, whilst kicking three goals of their own.
Old Haileybury controlled the second half holding the Hawks to a singular point whilst extending their lead.
Hearts vice-captain Gypsy Fowell kicked three of her side’s seven goals alongside Sienna Allan who kicked two, while Tess Barker and Reanna Barbakas kicked one apiece.
For the Hawks it was goals from both Emogen Johnson and Emily Truscott that filled their goal tally.
Hawthorn coach Aaron Miller applauded both his team and the opposition.
“Old Haileybury were terrific and deserve their spot in the Grand Final. My girls were also fantastic and never gave up on the task at hand, just a little inexperienced and hopefully we’ll be back in the finals next season.”
