Premier C Men’s Grand Final
Saturday September 19, 2:30pm @ Trevor Barker Beach Oval
The best home-and-away side will face the finals’ best performer in this year’s Premier C Men’s Grand Final at Trevor Barker Beach Oval.
Fitzroy have been touted as premiership favourites since the opening round, dropping just one game en route to the minor premiership. Coincidentally, Parkdale have been their bogey side in 2026, inflicting both of Fitzroy’s defeats; a three-point loss in Round 12 and a 15-point loss in the Qualifying Final.
However, Jack Dalton’s men will know what to expect, having faced Parkdale twice already this season, and will look to bring their attacking, free-flowing style to Sandringham on Saturday. If we’ve learnt anything about Fitzroy in 2026, it’s that they are a galvanised group ready to prove the doubters wrong after dropping a division.
With club stalwart Ted Clayton in the midfield, Charlie Faubel up forward and Harry Kooloos down back, we are expecting an emphatic response from the ‘Roys in the big dance.
Parkdale, too, have cruised through the home-and-away season, boasting a 16-2 record and an incredible percentage of 231.67. Nor have they been flat-track bullies, knocking off Fitzroy twice — most importantly in the Qualifying Final to secure their place in the Grand Final.
Having beaten them twice already, the Vultures know how to dismantle Fitzroy, especially with former Geelong and Essendon forward Mitch Brown clunking marks inside forward 50. Teammate Jack Vorbach has strung together an impressive season, kicking 15 goals and amassing plenty of the ball, while Joshua Ricco and Charlie Yee have been unstoppable in the backline.
With two high-quality midfields coming face to face in the centre of Trevor Barker Beach Oval, expect an explosive and hostile opening.
Prediction: Fitzroy by 8 points
