Congratulations to all our 2026 VAFA League Best & Fairest Winners!

The official vote counts for every VAFA senior & Under 19 section (excluding Premier Men’s & Premier Women’s) League Best & Fairest have been conducted for the 2026 season.

VAFA Media’s Jason Bennett & Matthew Donald hosted the league’s annual VAFA Awards Show, where the Top 5 leaderboards were revealed and all winners interviewed:

It was a thrilling evening of vote counts, with FOUR of the 18 counts decided by a single vote, and another THREE finishing with TIED LEAGUE BEST & FAIREST WINNERS:

• Billy Robinson (Oakleigh) & Xavier Winnett (St Kevin’s) in Holmesglen U19 Sth Division 3

• Maahi Patel (Willy CYMS) & Harry Ockerby (Hampton Rovers) in Holmesglen U19 Sth Division 1

• Darcy Hepburn (St Kevin’s) & Curtis Howe (St Bede’s/Mentone Tigers) in Holmesglen U19 Premier

There are so many wonderful stories to celebrate:

• A rookie from Denmark won a Best & Fairest in her first year in Australia (Signi Svendsen from West Brunswick)

• 2 back-to-back winners, who claimed their second consecutive League Best & Fairest: Emmy Johnson (Hawthorn) & Maddi Wilson (SBMT & Ormond)

• Matt Fewings (Mazenod) claimed his second League B&F in three seasons

• Collegians veteran Kenny Ong added to his glittering VAFA career by claiming the Premier B Men’s crown

And plenty more – hear them all in the show ABOVE.

Congratulations to all our winners, who will receive their awards at the VAFA Awards Night next Wednesday evening at the San Remo Ballroom.

The William Buck Premier Men’s & Premier Women’s counts will be held live on the evening, along with the presentation of all 2026 VAFA premiership flags and the induction of our latest group of Life Members.
