Point Cook joined the VAFA in 2010 to be the Western most club in the competition. In the early years the club was strong in the junior sections with regular finals appearances in the U18 competitions. This junior talent transferred to the senior ranks for the 2012 season when the club made their first finals appearance in Division 4, followed by a grand final loss to Westbourne Grammarians in 2016. The Bulldogs pride themselves on offering a club where players play for the love of the game only in a very competitive Western region of Melbourne.
