Congratulations to Beaumaris Shark, Zoe Barbakos, who has been named the Round 2 Anytime Fitness Rising Star nominee.
Zoe played a leading hand in the Sharks’ 22-point win over Yarra Old Grammarians, booting three of her side’s eight goals.
What the club said:
“Year 12 student Zoe is a lifelong tennis player who came to the Sharks as part of our give footy a try at your community club recruitment drive.
Zoe is picking up the skills and teamwork aspects of footy incredibly quickly. Her speed, athleticism and toughness have her teammates and coaches in awe. She plays like Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti and Britt Bonnici.
She does it with a smile on her face and a great attitude. Zoe is quickly becoming the Sharks’ newest cult figure.”
