ROUND 2 WRAP

Two down, sixteen to go and its fair to say that on the whole, today’s clashes confirmed the form we saw last week. Beauiful weatorrid her blessed the football and there were some big scores kicked and some big performances fromindividuals in front of the sticks.
In Premier, Collegians raised their flag and beat De La Salle, which pushed hard but wasn’t able to reel in the reigning premier. Old Carey led all day against Caulfield Grammarians and chalked up its first win after being unlucky last week. Old Scotch skipped away twice from St Bede’s/Mentone Tigers but grabbed the points in the end after being headed late in the game. Matthew Handley (six goals) was massive as Xavs jumped Blues before the Varsity hit back strongly to be a chance at lemon time. The Red and Blacks finished strongly and got the points at Toorak Park. St Bernard’s trailed Trinity at the half but finished the stronger. Andrew Ramsden booted five for the Green. WATCH: Colls, Bernies, Xavs 2-0 and Caulfield, Trinity and Blues 0-2
Premier B favourites St Kevin’s had six from Henry "Father of Federation" Parkes and five from Phil "J" Edgar in a BOG performance that kept Old Ivanhoe on the bottom. Nick Butler kicked five for the Browns, but it was an entirely horrid day for the Hoes. Scott Gower slammed home another five as Beaumaris smoked Oakleigh at Shark Park. Chris Molivas shot six as Werribee Districts won comfortably at Old Brighton. John Nicolopoulos (six) and Chris Ferguson and Michael Meehan (five apiece) saw Old Haileybury belt AJAX. Jandre Slabbert nailed seven as Uni Blacks finished stronger against Old Melburnians. WATCH: SKOB,Beauy, Blacks 2-0: Oakleigh,Old Ivanhoe 0-2.
Premier C saw Fitzroy outlast Marcellin with Luke Ablett turning on a BOG effort and kicking four. Monash Blues walloped Hampton Rovers, while PEGS edged Banyule in a heartstopper despite Jack Langford’s five for the Bears. Parkdale Vultures and Old Cambwerwell played a thrilling draw, while Rupo beat up Mazenod. WATCH: Rupertswood 2-0: Hampton Rovers 0-2.
Melbourne High School Old Boys eked out a victory over Glen Eira, while Old Geelong was too strong for Ormond. Luke Hull kicked five as Mentonians belted St John’s. Shaun Payze slid through six as Peninsula slapped NOBSPC and Rob Petracca notched seven as Whitefriars monstered Willy CYs. WATCH: Peninsula, Mentonians, Whitefriars 2-0: willy, St John’s, Glen Eira 0-2.
Division 2 leader Eltham Collegians had six from Sab Ciavola in their win over the Gryphs. Adam Sleight got eight for the four Blues in their whipping of Emmaus St Leo’s. Old Paradians were too good for Therry, while SMD beat La Trobe University. Bulleen Temp went nuclear against St 
Mary’s Salesian. WATCH: Eltham, Bulleen Temp 2-0: ESL, Trobers 0-2.
In Division 3, Aaron Thornton kicked seven and Justin Hunter five for Elsternwick, but it was Aquinas that stormed home, booting eight in the last. Callum Cormack kicked six and Jai Perrett five for the Bloods. Andrew Brazzale got seven for Kew, but the Bears lost narrowly to UHS-VU. Simon Yeo slipped through five as Yarra Valley pummelled Ivanhoe. Big Seb Angus nailed eight as the Stationmasters whacked Hawthorn, while SFX got on the board at the expense of Albert Park. Old Westbourne edged the House. WATCH: Bushrangers, UHS-VU, Aquinas 2-0: Albert park, Hawthorn and Power House 0-2.
In Divvy 4, the Bushpigs gobbled up the Sharks, while North Brunswick splattered BHN. Dane Sisic kicked six as West Brunswick mashed Chadstone. Jesse Albrecht led all comers with nine as South Mornington trampled the Cider Men. Point Cook pureed the Cobras.  WATCH: South Mornington, Swinburne 2-0: Chadstone, Manningham Cobras 0-2.
