The VAFA Big V Selectors have named a strong squad for the representative match against AFL Queensland on the Queen’s Birthday weekend in Brisbane.
In total, 13 clubs across Premier and Premier B have players selected in the squad. Players have been selected based on their early season form and also their past performances in representing the VAFA.
As always there are a number of players that are unavailable for various reasons whether that be injury or pre-arranged travel plans before being invited to join the squad.
The senior representative squad will the same coaching panel from the match against the EFL. The team will be led by senior coach Simon Lethlean. He will be assisted by Luke Gladman, Anthony McDonald and Allister Parton.
The senior squad will commence training next Wednesday 21 May at Harry Trott Oval, the home of Collegians. They will train the following Wednesday at Harry Trott before spending the final two training sessions on the Tuesday and Thursday leading up to the game at Collingwood’s Westpac Centre.
