The VAFA Football, Growth and Integrity Sub-Committee has accepted Swinburne University’s application to enter one team only in the 2019 Thirds competition.
The Razorbacks, who narrowly missed finals with 10 wins in Division 3 last year, will be unable to field two teams after experiencing a difficult period of player departures.
In light of this unfortunate situation, the VAFA undertook a collaborative approach and surveyed the eight Division 3 clubs seeking their preferred solution to the fixture for 2019 – whether that be a 14-game season or an entire re-fixture.
As a result to club responses, Swinburne University will be replaced by a bye and clubs will play 14 games for the season.
The first round of the VAFA season kicks off on April 6.
