The Victorian Amateur Football Association Board has accepted a proposal from Parkside Football Club to join the VAFA from season 2015 and beyond.
The Northern Football League has ten business days to appeal to AFL Victoria about Parkside’s transfer to VAFA.
Parkside has a proud past in the VAFA, having previously competed in the Association from 1938-2002. In this time the club won a total of twelve premierships in various sections, highlighted by their 1988 Premier B (then B Section) premiership and their participation in A Section in 1989.
A decision on which section of the VAFA that Parkside will compete in, will be made at the Annual VAFA Board Seminar, to be held on Sunday 26 October.
