The VAFA is planning to implement a Supers/Masters competition in 2021 pending Board approval.
The competition will be for 35-year-old and over male participants who are interested in getting the boots back on and being around their club in more than just a volunteer capacity. This opportunity will hopefully re-engage former players, attract new players to your club, and potentially increase volunteers.
We currently have a total of 14 clubs who have currently expressed interest in the new competition which range from Premier to Division 4 clubs. The initial feedback is the competition/s will run fortnightly with freedom to play games on Friday nights, Saturdays, or Sundays.
It’s not too late to express your clubs’ interest in fielding a team for next year! For any further information or if you have any questions, please contact Mikala Sykes at [email protected].
