As a result of today’s State Government announcement of a seven-day circuit breaker lockdown for Victoria from 11:59pm tonight (Thursday 27 May), there will be no community sport for at least the next seven days.
As such, Round 8 of VAFA football has been cancelled. Please refer to the Conditions of Play in a COVID-19 Environment Policy below which was recirculated to clubs earlier this week.
Community football activity can still take place as scheduled up until 11:59pm tonight, provided existing COVID protocols as imposed by the government are adhered to.
At this stage, the VAFA will be planning for Round 9 (June 5/6) as usual.
The VAFA Office will be closed during this period with the Administration Team available during office hours by either email or mobile.
New Restricted Activity Directions will be provided and, as more details come to hand, we will continue to update you all.
Please adhere to the (5) reasons ONLY for leaving home outlined by the State Government.
We look forward to returning for Round 9 of the VAFA season.
Keep safe and well.
