The VAFA has finalised the invitational side to play against AFL NZ this weekend in the Annual two match series against the best Under 18 Kiwi footballers.
Now in it’s sixth year, the VAFA side will be led by Hampton Rovers Assistant Coach Owen Lalor. Lalor will be assisted by David Gately and David Kinsella as they escort 23 players across to Auckland on Friday morning for matches on Saturday and Monday.
The VAFA squad comprises of players from 14 different clubs from almost all sections of the VAFA. Details of the squad can be seen below.
In the five years that the VAFA has been going to New Zealand, the Kiwis are yet to register a win, however their standard continues to improve and the gap is getting closer.
Captains will be announced after the squad’s final training session on Wednesday night at Sportscover Arena.
