Ian “Beefy” Christophersen was a real Amateur man who was a member of both the MHSOB and Old Brighton Football Clubs, but he retained a very keen interest in all VAFA clubs. Beefy would always assist with the afternoon teas at Sportscover Arena on a match day he was a friendly, kind, likeable man who loved to help the Amateurs out in anyway he could.
Ian sadly passed away earlier this week. The VAFA sends it’s condolences to his family.
The Chapel Funeral for ‘Beefy’ will be held at Tobin Brothers Reflections of Life Chapel, 816 Doncaster Road, Doncaster (cnr D’Arcy St) on Monday 23 December at 2.30pm. A private crematoin will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Children’s Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the Chapel whilst the VAFA Staff will also arrange a collection.
