The Victorian Amateur Football Association have accepted a request from Rupertswood Football Club to transfer to play in the Riddell District Football League for season 2013 and beyond.
Ruperstwood were first admitted to the VAFA with one team in the Club XVIII competition in 2000 as they looked to provide a senior club for their juniors.
In their 12 years in the VAFA, Rupertswood’s senior team reached Premier C Section, with the club also fielding strong under 18 and under 19 teams in that time.
VAFA CEO Michael Sholly said, "Whilst disappointed at the departure we understand the circumstances behind the decision and wish Rupertswood all the best in the future."
The move was signed off on by AFL Victoria this week.
A decision on the composition of teams in each section up to Premier C for 2013 will be made this Sunday at the Board Meeting and Seminar.
Results of that decision will be posted at vafa.com.au on Monday.
