The Victorian Amateur Football Association extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Lex Hibbins who recently passed away.
The Hibbins family has a long-lasting and incredible history with Collegians FC with Lex and brother Geoff each playing over 200 games. Lex went on to become the club’s 10th President in 1975.
Lex’s oldest son, Mark, also played over 200 games for the Lions where he won two B Grade B&F Awards, before co-coaching the senior side to two A Grade premierships.
Lex’s younger son, Nick, also played for Collegians and recently coached their U19’s team to premiership glory with Mark’s youngest son, Jack. Nick is currently coach of the Collegians women’s team.
Mark’s oldest son, Sam, is a William Buck Premier and Big V star, and was recently announced captain of the senior side.
