Caulfield Grammarians is the latest club in search of a new senior women’s coach after they agreed to part ways with inaugural premiership mentor, Mitch Dupljanin.
Making the announcement via social media, the club wrote of Dupljanin’s positive influence in his three years at the helm and the difficulty behind the decision to not reappoint him for 2022.
“This was not an easy decision but was made with the best interests of our women’s program in mind,” the club said.
“The effort, passion and dedication that Mitch has brought to his time as our Senior Women’s Head Coach has been outstanding.”
The overwhelming highlight of Dupljanin’s time with the Fields was no doubt leading the Fields to the 2019 Premier B Grand Final whereby they claimed their first-ever women’s premiership with a 14-point win over Old Xaverians.
“The ultimate in football is winning a premiership and all those involved in our 2019 flag will never forget what that felt like and meant not just to the players involved but everyone at the club,” the club said.
“Mitch will be forever known as CGFCW’s first premiership coach.”
The Fields earnt promotion to William Buck Premier for the 2021 season and were set to play off in the preliminary final against SKOB Saints before COVID ended the season.
The club is now advertising for the senior coaching position. Find out more HERE
