2025 William Buck Premier Men’s Grand Final Day
Take a look back at 2025 VAFA William Buck Premier Men’s Grand Final day at Elsternwick Park, as Old Brighton defeated Old Scotch to claim their first top-flight Premiership.
As if the cabinet was not already packed to capacity down at Tigerland, the club has dominated the Coach of the Year Awards for the second year running after Luke Beveridge and Owen Lalor being announced as winners once again.
The award caps an amazing stint at the helm of the Tigers for Beveridge, who heads to the Sandringham Dragons in the TAC Cup to further his coaching ambitions. Luke has coached the side for three years, winning the C, B and A Section title in that time and in doing so the Tigers became the first clib in the history of the VAFA to do so.
Owen Lalor, who has also coached three consecutive U19 premierships (Sections 3, 2 and Premier) will step up to the senior role in 2009. Owen was yesterday announced as a finalist in the Victorian Coach of the Year Awards (Youth category) that will be announced at the awards dinner to be held at the MCG on Friday 7th November. Unfortunatley, as Luke was selected as a finalist last year, he is ineligible to be selected for this year’s awards.
Congratulations to both gentlemen and good luck to Owen in the upcoming State awards.
AFCA/VAFA would like to thank Coates Hire for their continuing support of the Coaches Association.
