Tom’s recruitment at the start of the year encapsulated the renewed energy at the club after having previously been at VFL club Werribee and GFL club Newtown. He added much polish and determination to an already well functioning midfield, and the award was a great recognition of his impact in a season which delivered a grand final appearance.
Vice Captain Nicholas Casboult recorded another top two finish in the award having been runner up and two time winner in the previous three seasons.
Sam Lucas was the winner of the Reserves award with Zac O’Connor taking out the Under 19’s best and fairest. Consistent performer Tom Foster was a worthy recipient of the Club 18 B&F, edging out his brother Anthony in a close count.
