Old Melburnians has chosen David Landrigan as its new senior coach.
Landrigan, a Victorian representative, a six time A Section premiership player and a fourteen season, 262 game veteran at Old Xaverians, heads to the Junction after a two year stint coaching the Xavs’ Reserves and a year at Caulfield Grammarians as an assistant. In 2007, he coached the OM’s Club XVIII team.
OM’s President-elect Stuart Rose said “The club is extremely excited about Dave’s appointment. The board recognised that if this club was to take the next step and be a serious contender in Premier football then it needed to look at the most successful amateur club in the modern era and take a leaf out of its book in the way it went about things, both on and off the field. We believe Dave will be able to instil into our young playing group the type of winning culture that has held Old Xavs in such good stead for the past 16 years”
Stay tuned for more high profile coaching appointments.
