Former University Blues and Big V rep Dan Nicholson will make his senior debut for Melbourne tomorrow night.
Nicholson starred for Blues last season and his performances in the U19 representative match against Vic Country and for the U23 team against Tasmania in Ulverstone won him rave reviews from coaches, teammates and AFL scouts.
Three weeks ago, Nicholson turned out with Blues again – as a water carrier.
The VAFA’s loss is Melbourne’s gain and we wish Dan all the best on debut and beyond.
His selection by an AFL club will no doubt have scouts buzzing around the VAFA trying to unearth the next Ammo star.
