From formation to A-Grade: Old Geelong Women’s makes history
Old Geelong Football Club opened its 2025 season in historic fashion, with its women’s side marking their first year in the William Buck Premier competition with two wins straight out
It is with tremendous sadness and a heavy heart that we inform all within the VAFA of the passing of Joanne Cox a member of the VAFA Umpires Association and the Box Hill North Football Club.
Jo began umpiring after showing great potential with Box Hill North and was just starting to blossom. She was looking forward to umpiring in our Premier section within the next few years.
Jo passed away peacefully after a very courageous year-long battle against a very rare form of cancer. A lovely, bright, bubbly person who will be sadly missed. Deepest condolences to husband Nick and family. RIP
