Sam Dunell, the Old Melburnian star who played for the Big V at U23 and senior level this season before being signed by the Bendigo Bombers, has been picked up in today’s rookie draft by St Kilda. Dunell, a high-flying forward with great hands, is the son of Old Geelong coach Frank Dunell.
Ruckman Tom Campbell, a teammate of Dunell’s at both OMS and Bendigo this season, has been picked up by the Western Bulldogs at #27. Campbell played at Old Scotch in 2010 and represented the Big V in the U23 game against Tasmania.
Ormond’s Ben Darrou will join Richmond and Sam Frost , who played his junior football with the Monders, will join GWS.
