Old Xaverians won their 10th straight game by 10 points against Old Carey in a low scoring affair at Sportscover Arena today.
Xaverians were held goalless for the first half before a quick burst after half time saw them take the lead then extend on it with goals to Matt Handley and Josh Agius.
Old Carey had earlier taken the ascendancy with the only goal in the first half via a free kick courtesy of a deliberate rushed behind.

The conditions were terrible as both sides battled manfully throughout the day.
Old Xaverians seemingly put the game beyond doubt at the start of the last quarter when Jake Williams goaled from the goal square inside the first 30 seconds of the quarter.
However Carey kept fight and a goal from a 25 metre penalty to debutant Blake Fordham had them back to 9 points.
This was as close as they god with Damien Yze missing twice in the final quarter with one out of bounds and a behind from 10 meters out directly in front after he received a free kick for holding in the goal square.
Carey maintain fourth spot on percentage from Old Scotch, with the Panthers back at home to University Blues next week.
