University Blacks are Premier B Premiers in 2012 after they beat Beaumaris at Sportscover Arena by 27 points today.
Charlie Richardson added the the Ian Cordner Medal for best player on the ground to his Moore Medal as the Blacks led at every change and were always in control of the contest in the hot conditions.
Jordan Foster kicked five goals in the win and Huw Lacey won the best on the ground from the 96.5 Inner FM commentary team.
For Blacks they re-enter Premier in 2013 in much better shape than they did in 2007 and if they keep the side together will be a big worry for many of the teams in 2013.
Beaumaris had a seven goal margin to bridge at three quarter time and whilst they came hard with he first three goals of the final term it was always going to be a tough ask to turn it around.
Beaumaris will still be a tough side to beat in Premier next season and they can be proud of taking the club to heights they have never been before.
In the Premier C Grand Final it was Parkdale Vultures who defeated Fitzroy 15.16.106 to 13.10.88.
Parkdale lead all day and Fitzroy kicked some late consolation goals to bring the margin back to a more respectable 18 points.
Tomorrow the Premier Grand Final between Collegians and Old Xaverians will be at Sportscover Arena and the Division 3 Grand Final between Yarra Valley and Ivanhoe will be at Trevor Barker Oval.
