From formation to A-Grade: Old Geelong Women’s makes history
Old Geelong Football Club opened its 2025 season in historic fashion, with its women’s side marking their first year in the William Buck Premier competition with two wins straight out
After a strong off-season recruiting drive the Richmond Centrals AFC have already signed 26 new senior players (the most in the VAFA) with several more to come – on each of the last two Wed night training sessions there have been 60 players on the track. We expect the senior teams to be very competitive this year.
An opportunity now exists for someone to join a strong and experienced senior coaching panel that is already in place in the capacity of Reserves Coach – playing or non-playing.
Peter McBrearty, Bernie Lazzaro & Justin George comprise the senior coaching panel and the club will be fielding at least four VAFA teams in 2013 – Seniors, Reserves, U/19s & Club 18s.
This progressive club is rapidly expanding with a new U/19 team being launched this season and six affiliate Netball teams now in place.
Based at the picturesque Kevin Bartlett Reserve by the Yarra River, we are sure that any new coach will enjoy his time with the club.
